Governor - Alice Bimpong

 Alice Bimpong

Curriculum & Standards Chair

Hello What’s your name ?

Alice Bimpong

What do you do on the Governing Body ?

As the chair of the curriculum and standards committee, I work with the other governors and staff to review the teaching and learning provision and access for the children, with a special focus on science. I am also the governor lead for equality.

Why did you become a Governor at St John’s ?

I am proud to be working as governor at St John`s as it gives me the opportunity to contribute and give something back to the school community. I have 2 children that attended St John’s and they both have very fond memories of the care and learning that they experienced.

Did you go to St John’s when you were a child  ?

No.  I went to Eardley Primary School in Streatham

What is your favourite thing about our school ?

I enjoy seeing the children develop through the years - happy and thriving within this Christian school community.

Is there anything you would change about our school ?

That more children and their families can benefit from the excellent education and caring Christian Ethos that holds the whole school together.

What do you do when you’re not helping our School ?

I am a lecturer and an Environmental Health Practitioner who helps food businesses to comply with the law and maintain good standards. I am also a church leader/trustee with a special focus for children and young people. I also mentor and tutor others.

My favourite job is having fun with my children, watching movies and singing.

Thank you it’s been nice sharing my role with you.
